SOLUTIONS: DISASTER PREVENTION

ZeroNines® Moves Beyond Disaster Recovery

Standard disaster recovery methods are reactive, coming into play after the damage has been done, when it is too late to protect your business' revenue and reputation. All standard disaster recovery techniques – failover, remote vaulting, tape backups – are expensive, unreliable, and can't prevent outages in the first place.

It may take hours or days for these techniques to restore applications and get your business going again, even if your network was down for just a few minutes. Some information and transactions will be lost or damaged. If your business operates under Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, or other regulations, there is the real risk that you may be thrown out of compliance.

Threats to networks and business continuity include floods, fires, storms, electrical overloads, terrorist attacks, equipment failure, construction accidents, and a host of other potential disasters. ZeroNines Always Available™ technology departs from standard disaster recovery because our technology keeps your applications available and operating at full efficiency and with no interruptions, regardless of what happens to any of your network facilities. It's not disaster recovery. It's disaster prevention.

ZeroNines uses geographically dispersed application servers, all of which are hot and all of which run active applications. If one goes down, all activities continue uninterrupted on the others.

All your transactions, data exchanges, and other network activities occur equally and simultaneously on multiple secure application servers separated by hundreds or thousands of miles. There is no server hierarchy, and consequently no single point of failure. In IT parlance, all servers are "hot" and all applications are "active." If one application server or data center suffers from a disaster, all activities continue uninterrupted on the others. There is no need for failover or recovery because the network was never down.
